Ask a current UCSD frosh anything you want to know about UCSD!

pure madness? how so?

i don't know how it's done there, but at UCSD it's all done online; it's really easy actually.

Your very first quarter it'll be a random lottery for time slots. For every quarter from then on, it'll be based on how many units you have (including units you get from AP and JCs, by the way); more units = earlier enrollment time.

It's all done online, and it's relatively straightfoward, especially now that they've made the waitlist function work more intuitively.

For the estimated housing rate listed on the website (<a href="http://hds.ucsd.edu/housing/value.html)%5B/url%5D">http://hds.ucsd.edu/housing/value.html)</a>, are they talking about how much per month, or quarter, or the whole school year?

Are all warren res hall either single or triple???? there's no double available in the res hall? :(

it's per day

oneday:

Those figures are per year.

Warren res halls were designed as singles as doubles. Because UCSD is admitting more students than it can house, many of the doubles have been converted into triples. Some doubles are still doubles though. I think doubles are more common for girls.

sorry guys i've read all 5 pages and havent really heard too much about marshall :P I got in with Structural engineering... anyone know what the social life, dorms, and GE's are like in marshall?

kkoma, i would like to know more about marshall as well

also for marshall res halls are the dorms co-ed? i know the roommates are same sex but what about the floor..thanks!

hows the econ major? also, is it possible 2 double major? and are their any co-ed dorms?

i just looked over the dorms for marshall..and i think thats one of the cons about ucsd for me...i really like how berkeley's dorm is just whole floor and no suite..it makes it easier for ppl to socialize...sigh

just wondering, how hard is it to change major in L&S? i heard that the math major at ucsd is crap so i'm planning to change to biochem right away.

it's generally not difficult at all to change your major if it's an L&S major.

Wondering how big the computer science and math classes are?

how are the girls at ucsd?

math class - lower div mine have been ~200 people, don't know about compsci

The girls are short.

^^^^

LOL made me burst out :D

I got into Revelle in Human Biology. I was wondering how UCSD's biology programs compare to USC's?

do you think it's worth going to UCSD for winter quarter? because they didn't take me for fall.

i really, REALLY want to call them if they could take me for fall, 'cause i'm having serious financial issues. i don't even know how much they're giving me (yes, i logged onto tritonlink, and they won't give me my financial aid information). do you think i should call them?

i was accepted to UCSD as a communications major but i am still also considering USC for their business school... i am concerned however about being admitted to revelle college because i've heard some bad things about it any advice?
