<p>hello! I was wondering when we find out about the honors program? and also, when do we find out about other scholarships we applied for, like the armstrong scholarship? thank you! :)</p>

<p>Tbonesx3: Both of these decisions come from other offices on campus so I canât tell you for certain. In past years, students have been notified about the Honors Program in the last week of April. As for the Armstrong Scholarship, Iâll have to refer you over to the School of Engineering. I would be doing you a disservice to quote a date. Their phone number is 609.771.2779. Good luck! :)</p>

Are all freshman housed in the travers or are there are dorms as well (cromwell)?<br>
What are the gym facilities like for non-athletes? </p>

<p>Jessyqt: Freshmen are housed in one of three dorm facilities: Travers, Wolfe or Cromwell. Travers and Wolfe are the buildings that are highlighted on a tour. They have double rooms with a sink and communal bathrooms that are cleaned daily by a custodial staff. Cromwell is the building next to Travers and Wolfe. This building is suite style. It is composed of 6 person suites - 3 double rooms sharing one bathroom that is cleaned by the residents. </p>
<p>TCNJ recently received a 190 thousand dollar grant to rennovate the Physical Enhancement Center. Also, there are two separate fitness centers. One is exculsively for student athletes so non-athletes never have to compete with athletes for equipment.</p>
<p>While weâre on the subject of housing - My son will be starting in the fall as a transfer, and will put his name on the list for housing as soon as itâs allowed. What is the likelyhood that he will get on-campus housing? If he doesnât, does the college offer assistance in finding off-campus housing?</p>
<p>axw: Itâs hard to say what the chances of getting on campus housing is as it changes so drastically from semester to semester. The waitlist is prioritized by the studentâs distance from campus. </p>
<p>I sent in my admission deposit about 2-3 weeks ago but havenât heard anything from TCNJ. When I checked though, the check was cashed. Does it mean that there is an issue if I didnât hear from the school yet?</p>
<p>Also, I just checked today and saw that my PAWS account now has access to more information. When I clicked on âTCNJ Attendance Confirmationâ it listed the term as â2011 Sumâ even though I would be entering as a freshman in the fall. Lastly, under admissions it shows my information and says complete rather than admitted even though I have already received my acceptance. Iâm not sure if either of these are indicative of a problem but just wanted to check to clear it up.</p>

<p>Welcome to CC! I have a question about in-state residency. Iâm currently a NJ resident (a junior), but my parents will be moving to PA as soon as I leave for college. If I end up at TCNJ, would I lose my in-state status?</p>
<p>TheDoors: If you paid your deposit online, you should have received an immediate confirmation after you submitted your credit card information, if you paid by check either in person or through the mail, you would not have received anything. </p>
<p>As for the â2011 Sumâ, I would just ignore that. PAWS does not offer any confirmation that you have been admitted or enrolled. It simply tells you what is missing from your application. If you have any further questions about your status, please contact the Admissions Office directly at 609.771.2131 so that we can properly look up your information.</p>
<p>Skittsie13: Thank you! In years past, your residency was locked in for whatever state you lived in at time of admittance. For instance, if you lived in New Jersey when you applied and were accepted to TCNJ, you would pay in-state tuition for your time here. This, however, is subject to change. Just like the rest of the student body, honors students are guaranteed housing for their freshman and sophomore year, and enter a housing lottery their junior and senior year. <p>I have a few questions. Since I am planning to transfer to TCNJ (if I get accepted of course) after graduating from one of the New Jersey County Colleges (which will be after Spring 2012), does the amount of credits I have amounted give me a greater chance of being accepted? Also, how does the credit transfer since TCNJ counts itâs courses as 4 credits and the County Colleges only count their courses as 3 credits. And finally, I applied and was accepted for the Fall 2010 year, but couldnât attend does that have any factor in my Transfer Application?</p>
<p>Hello Lopez792! The amount of credits you have does not affect your likelihood of being accepted. </p>
<p>Most courses taken at a New Jersey Community College will transfer to The College of New Jersey. If you use the website [NJ</a> TRANSFER: Linking New Jerseyâs Colleges and Universities](<a href=âhttp://www.njtransfer.org%5DNJâ>http://www.njtransfer.org) you can see exactly what your community college courses will transfer as at any of the New Jersey public colleges. </p>
<p>If you attend another institution, even for one semester, between High School and applying at TCNJ, you will be considered a transfer applicant. Your acceptance as a Freshman Applicant will not factor into your decision as a Transfer Applicant.</p>
<p>Can you please let us know what the process is for enrolling once the initial $300 deposit is sent in and when incoming freshman will get an adviser and enroll in classes? Lots of confusion out there. Thank you.</p>
<p>All of the students who sent in their initial deposit of $300 will receive a mailing near the beginning of June that details all of that information. It will offer a timeline of what to expect when as well as information about housing, orientation, academic advisors and registering for classes. If that information has not reached you by the middle of June, you can always give us a call to make sure we sent it to the right address.</p>
