Pinkslip, should I go out today with a guy from my PE class? I feel its going to be awkward, because english is not my native language and I’m self conscious about my accent. I also dont get most american jokes, and he is supposed to be a really funny guy, so our date is going to be a failure. Plus, we barely know each other

I have multiple questions of which I need meaningful advice.
I hope that you can help me.
1 After discovering CC, i worry if I am good enough for most colleges -As i am a rising junior what can I do to boost my college prospects being that i have an unweighted 3.6 GPA and a dislike of math yet a love of science?_
2. What should I choose as my future profession? Doctor, lawyer, bioengineer or try to be a buisnesswoman and make tons. Help PLS. Choose one.

Any advice???

Is the cake a lie?

“Should I go to the library to do my homework, or should I just stay at my house? I only have a half hour to decide:/”

My advice came too late. Stay at your house for an hour, and then arrive fashionably late to the library.

I say yes. He probably finds the accent hot. Plus to make up for your sense of humor, just laugh whenever he is saying something and pauses for two seconds. It’s fine if you barely know each other, because that’s the point of going out. Just make sure he showers if you go right from PE ->date.

It’s normal if you think you’re going to community college after discovering CC.

^click on this if you feel like everybody on CC is a genius. It pretty much sums up the views of an average high school student. Warning- don’t click on this if you are easily offended by language. i found definition #2 pretty funny.

Also, don’t become a lawyer. They’re not doing to good these days. Don’t become a bioengineerer(word?). If you’re that good a science, become a doctor and get paid for it. Businesswoman is a good choice too, cause you will get rich for your knowledge, but sometimes a lot of math is required for business. Bottom line, do what you love, unless you love being a lawyer or a bioengineerer(word?).

“Is the cake a lie?”
pretty much. success doesn’t make you happy. some people are just innately happy, while some are plain and bitter. Different environments don’t change this. btw- if you are referring to the music group, they are not a lie, they are, “a 60s girl group made up of Jeanette Jacobs (1950-1980), Barbara Morillo and Eleanor Barooshian.”

Should I pursue a career path of (1) art school –> doctorate in human behavior/culture –> professorship at a university, or become a (2) doctor/psychiatrist?

(1) would be doing what I love, but perhaps spending hundreds of thousands in schooling and risking not making very much, and (2) would be doing something that may potentially burn me out/bore me, but making hundreds of thousands eventually?

Ok here’s my flawless advice. You seem like you want to make money, but you also want to something you love. Go into an investment bank. work there for a couple years. if you don’t totally suck, you should be making about 500k a year by the time you’re 30. then, when you’re loaded, tell the finance world to kiss it and head off for art school.

I left my yogurt out of the refrigerator for 12 hours–is it still okay for me to eat it?

should I go to CU boulder?

pinkslip, will you be my creepy internet statistically significant other? (im a chick. so no worries :P)

I have 762 posts on hsl, what should I do?

if pinkslip is a him,
why do you choose pinskip as a name?

“I left my yogurt out of the refrigerator for 12 hours–is it still okay for me to eat it?”

It depends. If you’re starving, go for it. If not, look under your car seat for 53 cents and go buy some from a store, preferably Wal-Mart.

"should I go to CU boulder? "
only if you enjoy nosebleeds, reading special directions on cooking boxes, and snow.

“pinkslip, will you be my creepy internet statistically significant other? (im a chick. so no worries :P)”

hmm… i’ve given this some serious thought(10+ seconds) and I’m going to have to decline. One minute, we’re chatting away about our lives, the next minute, i’m in the trunk of a car crying for my mom as you try to replicate that scene from that Kanye West music video(flashing lights i think?).

"I have 762 posts on hsl, what should I do? "

I believe you have found the topic of your ‘overcoming adversity’ college essay.

"if pinkslip is a him,

I both applaud and shame you for your wit. i chose my name b/c when i signed up for the site, I was recently let go from my job. Damn you Mr. Dellio!!!

Adidas, Nike, Reebok, or Under Armour?

"Adidas, Nike, Reebok, or Under Armour? "
definitely under armour. so versatile

I’m learning how to salsa and ballroom dance for a cotillion / sweet 16. Should I break out in Spanish fever at the homecoming school dance, or would it blow people’s minds by too much?

Also, I’m watching Magic’s Biggest Secrets, which showcases and then reveals the tricks behind these acts. Should I drop my studies and become a street magician?

yeah don’t spontaneously break out in dance at the homecoming. this isn’t high school musical.

study to become a street magician if you want to do that. otherwise you’re an orphan, not a street magician.

uhhh ok i got a question
boxers or briefs…and why?

I went running yesterday afternoon for about 5 miles and after when I took out my shoe, I noticed that one of my toenails was blue from internal bleeding, and I dont know why! So, why did that happen? my shoes are not too small, in case youre thinking that.

boxers- i like the air

well luckily, i’m a fellow runner. you have what i like to call the black toe. it is usually caused from your toe constantly banging against the front. i usually get it when i wear shoes that are too big, too old, or shoes that don’t fit right. there’s two things you can do. what i do is a heat a needle, pierce the toenail, and drain the blood. however, if you’re scared, you can just let nature take its course, but there is a good chance that your toenail will fall off.

my parents have made me play piano for 11 years. I play pretty well (not many people can suck at something they’ve been doing for that long), but I don’t like it. Never have, never will. I don’t grasp music theory very well, and it is impossible to be a true musician without understanding it. Anyway, they made me start playing because they insisted it would help my brain develop. And they’re still making me play because they’ve “invested too much money in it to stop now.” I have so many OTHER hobbies I love in life that’d I’d rather be doing. How do I convince them to stop making me waste my time on this one? Or should I just wait it out one more year until I escape to college?
