I'm starting an advice column. Ask me anything at all I'll reply with my best posible answer.

What question can you not answer?

Should I skip PreCalculus? I'll be a freshman next year. Or should I take it from a distance learning course at EPGY?
During my first semester, I would be normally signed up for Algebra II, which I plan on taking in order to have a good foundation. In the second semester, I would take Pre-Calculus, assuming I do not do any outside learning. If I took EPGY, I'd possibly finish Pre-Calculus within the first quarter of the year, leaving 3 free (outside) quarters. In my second quarter, while self-studying Algebra II, I'd have time to take AP Calculus A or B from EPGY. So, within the first semester, I have the option of finishing Calculus B. For the second semester, I'd take BC Calculus or Multivariable Calculus from the local CC or a Univ. Do you recommend doing this? I believe this would be good, for it frees up open spaces later on, which I can fill with Science likewise :p

You asked for it ;)

@Mr._chip - I'll answer questions. just nothing thats not worth an answer.

@Chaos Theory - You sound like a very intelliegent individual. If you can get further in math by all means do so. I would recommend teaching yourself than at a local CC, most of the time you'll learn the curriuclum better.

My school dosent offer Pre. Calculus and they dont tell you what math your taking just Math A, Math B. I took Math A freshmen year. Im going to be a sophmore this year. Should I teach my self Pre. Calculus? how would I go about doing that?

@Tymel - I would need more information of math a and math b. I would recommend obtaining a text book and see if you work through the problem sets of Pre-Calc.

I cant really explain math a. It had algebra, trig, geometry. Like all mixed together.

Dear Mike,
I'm the Awkward Silence Queen. How can I be more talkative?
kthnx. :)

Dear Mike,

do you watch laguna beach?

Dear Mike

How do i controll myself from being annoying sometimes?

;)

@KissMeKate - Make your opinions known. If you do not have an opinion, then state that the subject is not worth having an opinion. Say your thoughts, and then things will move from there.

@latinac2 - I've seen some, but I'd rather just catch the highlights on the soup.

@futureiceskater - know your audience. know what you can say and what you cant.

LOL.

You wanna get hitched?

@nixxi - Eventually

Dear Mr. Mike,

I think you a very helpful person. Do you think I'm lovely? Just lovely, or lovely AND insane?

Thank you for your kind opinion,
Signed Me

P.S. Hey this is like Dear Abby!

@Psycho_paroxysm - you dont appear to be lovely and insane, unless anyone who like math is insane (which is what some people believe), So I'm gonna go with the lovely

You know what question you can't answer truthfully?

ARE YOU ASLEEP?

Gosh.

@ nixxi - Yes I can. NO I am not asleep. However, a person who always lies cannot answer the question are you lying?

Dear Mike,
I'm skipping the remaining 3 years of high school. Wise choice?

@my favorite type of debate - 3 years is a long time. You may be isolated socially in college especially for parties, for that age reason. However, I you feel presently you know everything that your High School could teach you, then, academically, college is the way to go.

there's this programand it has other kids my age too. and i wouldn't be taking classes with normal college students. i take classes with people in the program, that is, until i declare my major; we do college work with professors from the university. my friends told me i would be missing out on a lot of social stuff (prom, grad night, etc).
