Ask My Professor For My Real Grade?? =/

SITUATION: Previous quarter at UCR (my 3rd quarter of freshman year) I got a C- in calculus BC. I had changed grade basis already by the time the C- final grade came out. So, I received an N/C as my final grade.

QUESTION: I will be applying for transfer this coming November to other UC's.

-How should I (or should I even) let them know that my "N/C" was not a D or F grade, but a C- ?

a) In the essay? (" I would like to transfer here because blah blah blah oh by the way, my N/C was a C- ")
b) Ask professor for somesort of confirmation statement? (If I do this, do I get a handwritten letter from him to mail to the UC's, an email from him, or what to let the UC's know of my grade behind the N/C?)

I understand my question may seem sorta ehh.. over a C- but any help would be very much, greatly appreciated. Thank you reader =)

bump bump**

i have no idea what to say .. a N/C is pretty bad but a C- isn't good either.

your C- should not have been N/C. A N/C implies less than a D. You still get credit for a D-, however you cannot move on. Now, even a C- allows you to move on. So if you had a C-, then you absolutely need to have that show as a Pass.

hmm.. hopefully the school made a mistake with giving me an n/c then.. hmm who should i email or call since it's summer?? front office, counselor, teacher?

noooo.... the school didn't make a mistake.. unless the professor did. A C- is a N/C by UCR standards.

what Technics is saying is that a N/C implies that you got a D or worse, not necessarily true.

i dont know which one is worse, a C- messess up your GPA while a N/C loosk REALLY bad.

anyways, good luck at UCR, hopefully you get out!

hmm is there any way at all possible to make them change it from an n/c to a W ? like any possible way at all?

i wouldnt really about it, i got into all the fine schools (LA,SD, USC, which is what i am now attending) and I D-'d a math class, took it over, and got a solid A. they are understanding. I would not worry. just EXPLAIN what happened

wow nj technics =) i mentioned this before somewhere in another thread but since that calc class wasnt required for my psych major and more so than that, considering i wouldnt do any better if i were to retake it, i was planning on just moving on and leaving it.. iono..
