Just finished calculus 2 final tonight. I'm wondering do i still have chance to get into UCI or UCSD if i get c in calculus 2. Or should i just let professor lower my grade to D, and retake it. (GPA 3.45)

instead of a D can you ask for W or I as well? A D will damage your chances more than a W. I know some times it is not possible.

Thanks for reply. I seriously feel like dying. If I ask professor to lower my grade to D, my GPA gonna fall to 3.38. I can’t meet TAG requirement either I just leave a C or ask professor lower my grade to D. If I retake it during winter, will UC concerns about winter’s grade since the priority deadline for the transfer academic update site is Jan. 31, 2015.

The D would not be removed from your GPA until you pass the repeat.

I’d just take the C since you’re applying for transfer. At least, it’s not a D. That’s trouble during the transferring period.

Will it show that you took the class twice? I would just explain with an email to the admissions commitee the circumstances surrounding the grade. Same thing happened to me so I’ll need to write an email
