How is the Sun God Festival and other concerts? I’m excited to hear about those!
Sun God festival has been moved to the day time (12-6) versus night this year. My D and friends are not too happy about it, but will still be attending. There are also concerts throughout the year at RIMAC. There used to be good concerts at Porter’s Pub before that closed.
I heard about how it changed. Is this an “experiment”, in which is just a trying year and possibly go back to the original in future years?
Which math series do you recommend for Human Bio/pre-med? I hear people saying that 20 is only for engineering, but I’m STEM so now I’m not too sure
@4sptak7 The student body passed a $14 activity fee increase a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully future Sun Gods are a return to the festival’s former glory.
@thegolfer1 the 20 series is generally considered more challenging. Don’t take it unless you have to, or unless you want to be able to transfer to 20-requiring majors (eg engineering, physics)
@DoctorP Nice!!!
Thanks @DoctorP probably will try to avoid it LOL
For those asking about switching to Economics major I have bad news. If you were not admitted under Economics you can not change it to Economics!

Hi do freshman sign up for fall classes online?
@anon6139 Yeah, you’ll be signing up towards the end of August. In Revelle (not sure about the other colleges) counselors emailed us some suggested fall quarter class in mid-July.
@DoctorP okay thanks! Also, one last quick question (to anyone who can answer really): how is the visual arts department, specifically film, at UCSD? Is it well-recognized? Does it prepare you well for a career? Do a lot of film industries recruit SD film majors?
@anon6139 Tbh I donno much about visual arts but I’m pretty sure it’s well recognized that division’s had some Pulitzer winners…the major you’d be looking at is probably visual arts - media but hopefully someone else can answer your questions better
