of the three schools that accepted my daughter, 2 came back with decent (but honestly not quite enough) and one came back with none. Of course the school who offered us none is my daughter’s first choice. So how do I ask for more, phone, email. Just be honest. I am not sure where they pulled these numbers from, one of the schools has taken our money for the last 4 years (other daughter’s tuition) and they know what we can afford, and they didn’t offer us even that much.
@lestouffer when my DD was accepted and out FA came back, I had to tell her we’d have to decline the offer. I contacted outlet AO personally on the phone to tell her we would need to decline the offer, and the reasons why. She went back and asked for additional aid for her and my DD is now happily halfway through her Sophomore year! I know it doesn’t always happen this way, but it never hurts to be up front about the situation and see what they say.
