Asking for Teacher Recs?

CherryRose: yes its tabs. Theres no reason to ask your teacher to fill out multiple forms.

Oh and I asked my math teacher today and it went well! Going to ask my English teacher an guidance counselor before the week is over.

Okay. Thanks, helloel… I will give these to my teachers Monday. As far as that goes, I’m pretty much resigned. Yes, teacher recs are very important in the app process, and yes, my teachers will probably not be too cool with me applying to BS, which will reflect in the recs… but there’s nothing I can do about it.

Me neither. Since I’m in, um, a very good seat at my school orch, I’m sure my teacher won’t like the fact that I’m applying to boarding school. But whatever, it’s all out of my hands now.

If my teachers send out my recs on say, January 4th will they reach admissions by January 15th?

yes, and admissions is generally somewhat forgiving on things that are out of your hands. I had to submit my transcript about a week and a half late last year because of when my grades close.

ehpant- thanks, I supposed that had to be somewhat lenient

MY PRINCIPAL THINKS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME. Because I’m applying to boarding school? That was his first assumption. Apparently after I asked my guidance counselor for recs she filled in my principal. He didn’t contact me directly, but asked my coach what was wrong with me then my coach came to me. Great. I apply to a boarding schools and the only logical explanation to my principal is that I hate my friends and teachers. Which isn’t true, and why especially I didn’t want many people to know!

Oh gosh… That’s a pretty extreme reaction. :frowning: Maybe your principal just doesn’t have many kids applying to boarding school in a given year.

Try scheduling an appointment with your principal! Maybe he will understand when he sees the utter determination and dedication, and pulls of you applying to boarding school.

Yeah I thought about that but I didnt find out directly from my principal but from a different teacher so I feel like it be weird to confront him and be like “so I heard…”

Oh, that’s true, I can see how awkward it would be.

Yeah and I still have to ask my Spanish teacher for a rec. I feel like she would tell a lot of people. I have no idea what her response will be to me applying to boarding school. I bet she doesn’t know that much about it
