something went missing>>>>>>

GO ARMY!!! SINK NAVY!!!!

Aparently, it's the only way you clowns can possess it these days....

Evidently a joint FBI and CIA investigation has revealed what happened...

Air Force was so upset over the Navy prank on their little fighter plane prior to the Navy AF game that they enlisted the help of a former pilot (guess who--at least his record says he was a pilot!) to trot on over to the Naval Academy and give his best speech. In no time the Mids were asleep in their seats and the CIC trophy was gone in a flash!

Kind of scary to think that Air Force could sleep through the night while a fighter plane was painted over in Blue Angel colors and Navy could lose the CIC trophy out of their own locker room!

Security boys and girls, security!!

:)

I, for one, am highly amused by what looks like a conspiracy to me -- a consipiracy of the administrations of both schools to stoke the fires of their fans, that is.

If you've ever seen the trophy in its case in Bancroft you'd know it would be close to impossible to be stolen from there. So what do they do? It's "moved to the football building to provide motivation for the players" (where we also could presume there would be less visibility and security) during the very week that it might be the target of a prank?

Kinda like putting the Hope Diamond in the ladies room during a Thieves Convention, don'cha think? And to top it off, it all happens on the eve of the President's visit? When security was crawling all over campus? You gotta hand it to these organizations... Well, I guess its working -- Navy is fired up to get it back and Army is fired up to keep it. Win-win!

oiixxg - I am SO Blonde! That thought never entered into the old thought processes. Man, you're good! You've pegged it Sherlock. Oh well. I fell into the hype. I'm still gonna wear my Navy sweats and put some brats on the grill for game day tho. GO NAVY!

His record is accurate.

shogun,
were any light-footed female cadets involved in this caper??? loved your narrative--what time is the usc/ucla game?

The trophy was stolen from the football locker room on the Yard. It was not in the locked case in Bancroft. Whoever stole it, it has been found in a storage room on campus.

With regards to asleep at the helm, the first company formed up and marched over to Alumni Hall at 6:45 am. The last company moved out at 8:00. Everyone had to be through security and in their seats by 9:00 for the 9:45 speech. I don't know about you, but if I was one of the unlucky ones sitting there for over 2 1/2 hours, I would be asleep too!

No joke! I'm surprised one of them didn't smuggle in a pillow and a blanket! :O

gotta love it!

CC trophy safe and sound where it will remain for the next 365+2 DAYS.... get over it!

glad to see SOMEONE getting excited about this tie-breaker game!!! GO NAVY! TORPEDO ARMY!

As for all the little angels sleeping- must be all that deep conditioning doing its work! ;)
