assist certified

Ok, that must be it then. I forgot to add a Spanish lab in there anyway, so I just added it and I’m now at 61. So I should be ok. Still need to figure out what the stats class is not listed as certified, but I’ll find that out later I suppose.

You guys are a massive help. Thanks!

That totally accounts for the 2 unit difference. Glad you’re still on the right side of 60 units :-)

Man, I’m playing it close. Thanks guys. I’ll be sure to sit down with counselors at both campuses to verify I’m all good. They both know me by name now, lol. ;)

You should be fine. B-)

Good for you for figuring it out now and not in the Spring!!

Luckie, you have no idea, I’m so OCD about my application it’s nuts. I drop into my planner daily, just to make sure it didn’t mysteriously change overnight. I’m ridiculous like that. :)

I completely understand. That will be me in November before I submit!

It will also be you between Jan-April 2015… Trust me.

Assist.org was created specifically to list transferable California Community College courses. It does not list courses from non-CCC schools (4-year universities or out-of-state CCs).

Therefore, courses from UCLA Extension or other non-CCCs will never be “Assist-certified” since they aren’t in the Assist database. That doesn’t mean they aren’t UC-transferable; it just means the UC Planner/Application doesn’t automatically recognize them as such.

In other words, don’t worry about it. :)

@keelnailed‌ the answer was so simple it blinded us.

Keen, that’s excellent news, thanks. So I guess it’s safe to assume the people looking over the application don’t just add up the assist certified number. I assume they also look over the rest of the courses to validate UC transferable courses as well. Thanks again guys.

It’s funny, I obsessed over my apps until I submitted them. Then from December til April 1, I didn’t really think about it. Then once April 1 hit, and I knew decisions would be any day, that’s when I started obsessing again.

I pretty much stayed off of this site during those months because I knew people would get me sucked into worrying.

Haha wow, I can’t believe we didn’t see that!

As I may have mentioned, my daughter was blasé. I’m the one who rethinks every step over and over. I guess I didn’t really start the reassessing needlessly until around mid-March. That was more or less when we found out her TAG to UCSB would fail. From then on, I went into overdrive, baby.

Side question: I know it’s been answered but I can’t find it. Since the application window is the entire month of November, does it matter when in November I apply? Meaning, is it better to submit right away, or later in the month?

Because Lord knows I will have my finger hovering over the submit button at 11:59pm on October 31st.

Nope, timing of submission does not affect decisions or when decisions are released. However, submitting it earlier is recommended in case the site crashes at the end of November

No, it doesn’t matter when you submit your application. I submitted November 29th last year.

I have actually heard getting it in early is a good idea, but I can’t remember why. If it’s done get it in. Why wait?

I submitted mine on 11/29 last year.

Did you guys wait till last minute because you were behind in filling it out, or was it by choice?
