Assistance with Picking an MS in Biology/Genetics

Hello everyone,

I am a Rutgers student who expects to graduate in May of 2010 with a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences. I have begun the search for schools in the Northeast with good biology programs, particularly in the field of Genetics or Molecular Biology. I am not ready to commit a full six years to a PhD program at this point, and I think that a Master's Degree will give me a better idea of what I want to research, as well as give me additional experience.

So far, I have considered the following schools:

Rutgers University--New Brunswick/Piscataway
University of Maryland-Baltimore
Penn State University
Temple University

The size of the school is not as much of a concern for me; I am looking more for a quality education, within a reasonable distance (3 to 4 hours by car) from New Jersey and with reasonable access to resources.

I would like to know if there is anyone that has researched these schools as well, and what their opinions about each of these schools are. I would also like to know if there are any other masters' programs in the area worth looking into, and if I should even consider going after a MS at all.

I can provide more information if you need it. I am just in the preliminary stages at this point, making a list of about 8-10 schools I can apply to.

Thanks.
