ok well I'm off to Baruch college this fall and plan to transfer to a better university to finish off my BBA after 2 years at Baruch. Now I have a question, do I need a associates to transfer? What's a associates to e honest because I don't know haha.

Associate in _______ (business in your case?) is a two year degree earned through completing the necessary classes at a community college. Generally speaking, once you graduate with an associates, it means you can then transfer in as a junior at the 4 year university your community college has a transfer agreement with within the same state.

Community colleges try to align their curriculum with the 4 year schools in the same state to make this transfer process easy.

but I’m not going to a community college… I’m going to Baruch (finance) do you think the associates degree would be worth it?

There is no point for you. The school you are transferring to should be able to provide transfer requirements as well as let you know which courses will transfer.

^^ What VectorWega said.

In that case the associate degree is not what you should be aiming for. Research the prerequisites for transfer from the school you wish to transfer to in two years and take all of those classes at Baruch.
