It depends on whether you're using desktops or laptops. Also, you can't transfer programs from one HD to another, because there is more to it than the files in the program folder. There's also the registry entries, and probably a lot of other little stuff. What kind of programs are you talking about?

Sadly, yes; I have 3B during the inauguration. Unless you get an email from your professor, you are stuck in class. I would suggest you just bring your laptop and watch on CNN.com

Not sure, but just so you know, Northside is a lot safer and it is easier to get a place closer to campus from Northside then it is for Southside.

Laptop. The registry entires are exactly the reason why I can't just drag-drop everything over. Preferably, cloning the disk would be best, but apparently my copy of Ghost (9.0) has issues with moving things onto different sized HDD, due to the differences in head, size, etc.

I was sure I typed this earlier, but I'm kind of tired of Asian Ghetto, which is why I was asking xP Sorry...

kips is good .

$2.50 potato salad at Sufficient Grounds is excellent. Their sandwiches are pretty good too, and worth the price, relatively. The Middle-Eastern place near the Asian Ghetto is good. IBs is an alright cheese-steak place, good prices. If you're into Indian, there's obviously House of Curry across the street from the Asian ghetto.

I live by Stanford (palo alto). BART to Millbrae then transfer to caltrain works, but many times the BART trains are delayed and they miss their scheduled caltrain transfer. Caltrain rarely waits for delayed BART trains.

If you travel on weekdays you can BART to Union City and take the DE (Dumbarton Express) which stops at the Palo Alto Caltrain station. From there, Stanford's free Marguerite shuttle takes you anywhere on campus.

Just went there a few days ago. BART to Montgomery St. Station then catch the MUNI #30-Beach/Broderick bus and ride until the end of the line and walk a few blocks to the Exploratorium. Be careful when taking the #30... sometimes the bus says 30-stockton/union (or something else)... those buses will only get you halfway to the exploratorium before it goes out of service.

*** 511.org is really useful when trying to figure out how to take public transit in the bay area

bartleby, do you mean the middle eastern place next to the post office? What should I get if I have never eaten middle eastern food before but want to try it? (I don't like spicy stuff)

I didn't know there was a post office, but having checked google maps, apparently, there is one hidden somewhere. Yep, that's the place I'm talking about. It's not spicy, at least I can't remember it being particularly so. The lamb shwarma wrap is a good place to start.

Also, Anne's Kitchen on telegraph is pretty good, although I have to admit the only times I've eaten there was when I was drunk in the middle of the day or hungover from last night.

Supposedly, CS 3 isn't that hard and if you take it before you take 61a, the first half of 61a will be a breeze. I skipped CS 3 and didn't find 61a too difficult, though I had previous programming experience.

Try Easeus Partition manager. It's free and I just copied my entire 120 gb onto a 320 gb with it. Everything boot up correctly on the 320 and all the programs were in place, even the registry and settings. Just be warned though, you might need some knowledge of how partitions work, I had to boot up a Windows CD and set the new partition on the 320 to be active and fix the boot record for it to work. That was probably negligence on my part though when I set it to copy the partitions over.
