<p>If I’m interested in a career in finance which school has the better business program? Also I have a 4.1w, 28 ACT, and OOS… will I have a shot at Barrett? And would be Barrett be more worth it than AU honors?</p>
<p>I think you meant UA, because I don’t know what AU is. I’m currently majoring in Economics at ASU, I can tell you that I was having the same dilemma to choose between the two. Eller(UA) is usually ranked slightly higher than Carey(ASU) in terms of MBA rankings, but ASU has many higher ranked programs at the undergraduate level. If you are going to do honors, I would go with ASU. The business school does a TON to accommodate honors students, we have our own business advisors as well as an honors-only lounge inside the school. They have a business community inside the new honors dorms where a bunch of business students live in close proximity, they make it so easy to network with other honors students and other business students. Carey also has a great student engagement director, they have tons of luncheons with prominent business people and a great career counseling department to help with internships, plus a bunch of their own study abroad programs. </p>
<p>Your chances for Barrett are higher the sooner you apply, so apply ASAP. The 4.1 will help, but the ACT is a little low, like I said apply early, it gets more competitive the longer you wait.</p>
<p>The finance department is good, but most students especially honors students do double majors. Supply Chain Management (ranked #4 nationally) is one of the most popular and the business school is organized such that it is extremely doable to add a second major. I can’t speak much about Eller since I don’t go there, but you will certainly have everything you need and want at Carey at the very least. </p>

<p>Haha no big deal, I just wanted to make sure I was answering the right question. Barrett itself doesn’t really offer scholarships except for some study abroad scholarships, but ASU has some automatic merit scholarships that they will give you if you meet certain standards and apply to ASU by Dec. 1. W.P. Carey offers a ton of different scholarships once you get here and some of them only honors students can apply for, so yes and no.</p>
<p>Does Carey place a lot of students in California after graduation or with internships? That’s really where I want to end up but obviously the UC’s aren’t going to be giving out many scholarships especially now.</p>
<p>Well I can’t speak to that specifically, but I know students get placed in all sorts of reputable companies and they aren’t all here. I know several students who spent summers in Pennsylvania for internships with General Mills, if you want it and let the Business Career Center know you want it, they will probably be able to work it out for you. The thing about ASU is that no one guides you along, but there are more than enough resources and people willing to help so if you’re driven enough you can anything you want here.</p>
<p>Also, after Arizona, the most OOS business students come from California, almost 300 in the Freshman class. So, the school has some connection to California at least through recruitment.</p>
