I just applied to UM and I chose LSA. I think I might have changed my mind and decide on Engineering.
How hard will it be to transfer into EE, let's say after the first quarter/semester?
What kind of requirements I will have to fulfill my first semester there?
Thank you.

I’m pretty sure you can change schools before you even start. Call the admissions office and ask them.

^I see, thank you. I will call them once I got my admission letter - if there is going to be one. lol

Easy to transfer into engineering, but it will probably take more than one semester unless you have a lot of AP credits. Don’t worry, it’s not a big deal. In fact, you’ll probably save yourself a couple thousand dollars by starting in LSA. (I transferred from LSA to EE my sophomore year.)

Classes you need to transfer into EE are something like:
English Class, Engin 101
Calc I and II
Chem 125/126/130
Physics 140/141

So if you want to transfer, just plan your schedule accordingly. All of those classes can be taken by LSA students, you will just need an override for Engin 101. Get all of those done your freshman year with like a 3.0 GPA and you are into the EE program pretty much automatically. And as I mentioned, you’ll save money too because LSA tuition is lower than Engineering (even though Engineers will take all of the same courses their first year…)
