If your child has AT&T and is having problems receiving calls the last couple of days, it's not the phone - everyone my daughter knows is having the same issue. My daughter finally got someone from AT&T to commit to ordering up an engineer to the cell tower, but still not receiving properly as of this evening.

I was near campus today, and had no problems with AT & T.

My son has AT&T and he has had a lot of problems with cell phone reception in his dorm room, which I understand might be his location (Foster Magee dorm). We are frequently cut off and it is very difficult to understand him unless he goes outside. Also, today I tried to call him 3 times and sent him a text message. He finally got the text message and told me that his phone did not indicate any missed calls. I hope they can get this problem fixed. Can someone tell me if it will probably be a continuing problems that he won"t have good reception in his dorm room (based on your own experience)?
Thanks.

My D said someone told her that a "pole" went down in the rain a few days ago and that is what is causing the problems. My attempts to reach her by cell phone have been hit and miss the past few days. Her phone will ring twice and then hang up and she won't see it as a missed call. Other times, the calls go through. She is a freshman so I don't know if this was a problem last year.
