Question - does Berkeley care about AP scores in regards to rescission?

^no

(10char)

Excellent, thanks. There’s one AP class whose teacher is clearly incompetent, and the temptation to purposely fail is quite strong. And apparently, a 5 would still not provide any credit.

Though the annoying thing wrt credits is, a 7 in IB Math HL would still give no credit whatsoever…

limabean22 - central processing unit for UCs is not good enough for notifying UCB about a change from your application, but you will only need to communicate with the campus you will SIR (or the couple you might be vacillating between). Contact each serious candidate school immediately through the address they give on your acceptance site. Better safe than sorry.

rider730- thank you. I will do that right away. I’m just curious, why do you think the UC central processing unit was insufficient? Do you think anyone would have read my letter?

ok, if you FAIL classes, you dont belong in BERKELEY

does it make too much sense?

The flow of notifications and the entire process of validating or rescinding admission is something done by the individual campus, the one that a student will send a SIR to and then attend.

Sending stuff like that to the central application processing center is as likely to have your comments sitting in some electronic trash bin as not. It is not where they ask for you to notify if you have a problem with senior year academics.

I don’t know for sure, but I sure wouldn’t be gambling if it were me, when all it will take is to directly contact the one or two UC campuses that you might choose on May 1.

good point, thanks!

You guys should take all the APs you applied for as they will give you units as long as you get a 3. Those units are very important at getting decent TeleBEARS (relative to others in your class.)

You’re suggesting you might be failing 3 classes? Even one is sufficient. Try to get them up; even with all c’s, it’s going to be tough averaging out with a 3.0.

I am going to do what someone else did as well because I have a similar question.
Do you have to take all of the AP tests that you said you would? I am taking four of the five I said I would but my parents just didn’t have the money to pay for it and I didn’t have the time to study for it.

No you don’t. I took only 3 AP tests last year after reporting that I would take 4.

Okay great! Did you call and tell them though? Or is that unnecessary as well?

I asked them through e-mail. You should as well to double check.

Alright, thank you!

Okay, thanks for the feedback.
I have gotten of my AP Lit back on track, it’s now A-
Currently dealing with AP Calculus, which might get a decent C
and Art History could ended with a B by this semester
the rest classes are As

Will continue to update…
