<p>I wouldn't be surprised if that title's been used, too. Bah, so, I'm college searching STILL. I've been borderline-obsessed with it since February. What I'd really like to know now is how much better SAT scores (say 2050-2100) will help my chances at these schools. My list of schools has changed a whole lot over the past six months, causing me to post here a bit more than I probably should...</p>

<p>But anyway, here are my stats. </p>

-working as a cashier at a supermarket for almost a year
- treasurer of Student Historians club at my school
-worked with special needs kids and helped them do crafts/helped organize activities for them to do (during school for the past two years)
-"Walking Tour"...about to be a tour guide for the elementary school kids for the second year in a row. I take them to different historically significant landmarks in our town and explain why they're important.
-Civil War Reenacting in Gettysburg for the past four years</p>

<p>Junior Year AP's: Statistics with a 3 on the test
Senior Year AP's: Economics, US History, Biology, German</p>

<p>Senior Schedule: The aforementioned AP's in addition to regular level Calculus, regular level Physics, Honors Humanities, Film, and, I don't know if this counts for anything, but in order to fit AP Bio into my schedule, I'm coming into school 45 minutes early every morning to take gym. This also means that I have an extra credit for that year.</p>

<p>Other courses: Honors for everything except science in grades 9-11, and I'm moving up to AP senior year. I also dropped down in math for 11th grade, wanted to move back up, but wasn't permitted.</p>

<p>Essays: They won't suck.
Recs: The teachers who wrote them were more than happy to do so.</p>

<p>Emory is a reach. High 600's (like 2050) are usually needed...but you have shot...since your GPA is much more important than testing scores and your UW is pretty good.</p>

<p>I don't know if I'd exactly call U Washington a safety but I'd say it's definitely a match. Your states are similar to my D's (her SAT is about 100 point higher) and we consider it a solid match/safety, but we're in state.</p>

<p>Ah. mkay. Maybe I ought to just take it off the list, then. I was looking for safeties when I added it. Though it'd be fun to live in Seattle.</p>

<p>It is fun to live in Seattle and U Washington is a great school. I think you would probably get in, but I just wouldn't call it a safety.</p>

<p>that's a balanced list. millersville is a backup, as is probably UW, and maybe OSU and delaware (to a lesser extent, though). if you're set on emory, have you looked at oxford college of emory? good luck!</p>

<p>I'm not really set on Emory. I'm more set on NYU and USC. Though I do like Emory.</p>
