I've been playing basketball since I was in elementary so that amounts to 4 years of it, I'm probably going to join the team again this year (if I have space in my schedule). Also been playing Volleyball for 4 years so I hope to join the team if I have enough time because I'm doing so much fun extra curriculars this year. I'm not bad in Tennis and Badminton I'm pretty good, but track I suck!

^how old are you??

I'm 17 years old . . . ^

i live in new york too and i am going to take cross country!!!!!!

Great! Cross-country is awesome, but make sure you are in shape before the season starts. Whereabouts in NY do you go to school? I'm in Section 2, near Albany.

i live upstate and im going into 9th i had just taken earth science and math A in middle school so i finsihed one regents so far the earth science
what did you get in earth science i got a 96 as my final average

Cool I did the same thing; I took Math A, Global 9, English 9H and Earth Science in 8th grade. Hmm, I think I got a 99 in Earth Science class and a 97 or 98 on the Regents.

what grade are you going into?
and it the SAt hard?
and is the biology regents hard?

i got a 99 in math A
on the regents for earth science i got a 95 for i got every question right on the regents but when i did the practical i messed up really bad they didnt have a calculator at my station by mistake and i couldnt open the tape when we were doing the hemisphhere thing so overall including the regents i only got a 96 which isnt the best but its cool :)

and i hope we dont have to run every day for cross country when i begin

and im taking global 1h and english 9h in highschool they only offered earth science and math A as a 8th grade classes at my school

lol of course u have to run everyday...don't be intimidated tho, still go and excel at it.

my dad said it starts tommorow but i dont think it does it said it starts august 28th on the school web

it prbly starts tommorow...cuz stuff usually starts in the summer..my stuff starts next week....just so you know, cross country isnt easier than track..you run a lot more and on trails more...not on nice even tracks...but its more fun...but good luck! youll definitely have a lotta fun!

Some of my friends on our XC team, who were always in the front during practice runs, would sometimes take a slight detour and quickly jump in the first pool they could find (which isn't too hard considering how many people have pools here).

I almost joined just for that.

^haha...in my city theres a river so we jump in there

thats not allowed?

hah
I'm not sure that it's NOT allowed by the school, but I bet they wouldn't actually condone it either..

but cant someone get hurt?

for pool hopping? depends if the person's pool who you hopped in has a gun or a taser or something...

i meant if you jump in a river and isnt there scary bugs in the river

leeches, and maybe like mayflies...but leeches can be pulled off
