<p>Does anyone know if being on the athletic recruitment list helps you at all at Claremont?</p>
<p>D's guidance counselor thought so if your sport/position needed but still have to be outstanding in other ways. They also like athletes in regard to just liking active, involved people.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if a lot of the kids applying to CSM are interesting in playing a varsity sport?</p>
<p>I would say a lot of CMC students that are into sports. I am not sure about SCR and HMC students. We were there for orientation and it seemed like quite a few kids are soccer players and that they all would not make the team. My son is a swimmer and the team is quite large for a school of this size. Overall, the student body seemed quite sporty.</p>
