Athletics @ Harvard

Just wondering how intense the athletics are at Harvard?

I'm thinking about trying to get recruited (specifically in water polo and swimming)

For all those interested or know anything about water polo/ swimming post some information and stats.

Here's mine...

Water polo:
Varsity Captain
All-Area Second Team

2 @ CIF Div III

Rio Hondo League 1st Team

Swimming (short-course):
1:06 100 Breast
55 100 Free (slow... i know)
24 50 Free
2:13 200 Breast

Totally depends on the sport. Crew, for example, is both one of the strongest programs in the world and incredibly intense. Swimming is not one of H's best sports, although it's still a serious commitment. I knew a couple of water polo players and they seemed to be busy, but not so busy that they couldn't get involved in anything else.

I'm a water polo player as well, I'm pretty sure Harvard is ranked like 14th in the nation. Swimming is around 5 NCAA.

I was surprised as well.

No kidding?!? Then swimming is totally getting shafted around campus -- no one knows they're that good.

Umm... Hanna, The Harvard Men's swimminmg team was undefeated in the Ivy League this year and won the EISL title!

Ditto the women, who won the Ivy title and went 10-0.

The men's water polo team is not bad, either, although not California quality. (Half the team DOES come from California, however, so that's where they are recruiting.

If you want to get recruited (or try to) go to the posted links and contact the coaches.
