Describe your competitive sports experiences please. Anything.

Ah... this could be pretty long so I'll summarize:

From age 8-end of junior year, I swam year round. In my freshman-junior year I swam about 21 hours per week, 46+ weeks per year. It was a good experience but overall disappointing because I went from top 3 in the state in my best event (and top 10 in 5 events) to barely even qualifying for states toward the end soo it was hard and it just got to be not fun and extremely frustrating.

This is my 4th year of Varsity XC, this year I'm the captain. It's been fun, I'm glad I got into it because running is definitely something I enjoy and I'll keep up with it when I stop playing competitive sports.

This will also be my 4th year of Varsity Swimming at my HS, and I'm the captain for that also. It's been okay... it seems all the obnoxious people at my school swim so dealing with the people on the team isn't that fun.
We won States last year though so that was cool I guess.

I also play softball but between a broken foot and a shattered fingertip last year, I didn't play and I don't think I want to this year either because it'll be spring of my senior year...
It's a shame I never really got into it because it's definitely the sport I have the most natural talent in (even though I'm considered a much better swimmer because I've developed that much more)

Basically, I really really like to exercise by myself but I'm really sick of competitive sports and I'm ready to be done with them.

I did djudo in Ukraine in second and third grades, then free-style in, hmm -- fifth perhaps, I don't quite remember. Of course, it's all on "club basis." Again, I'm wrestling in United States MS in 8th grade at JV level (it really sucks after several years break).
In 9th grade I wrestle out everyone in weight class (215) but still don't make varsity because of reason I would never think about -- grades :)
This year I'm trying to enter into weight class of 275 -- there are few slow opponents there and you don't have to bother with all those diets and loosing weight techniques :)

throughout high school, i've done track (9-11, CIF SS finals), football (9-11), water polo (11,12 CIF SS), swimming (10, 11 CIF SS Masters), and basketball (11, 12 CIF SS Finals)

i lettered in 5. im kind of bummed because my school makes a huge deal out of ppl that letter in 6 sports. i think only 15-20 ppl have done it in our school's history (started in 1917), and i came so close. some girl 7 years ago lettered 5 times also. it's tough because i had to do dual sports in the same season i.e. swimming & track. i could've probably done xc this year and lettered since it's one of those sports where if you're an upper classman, you level, but it's so boring and tedious to me and the ppl suck. they're so cliquey and have this arrogant attitude about themselves. anyways im rambling.

i decided to do water polo instead just bc it's much more intense and you get to mess around after practice alot (and hello, babes in swim gear). maybe i should try out for baseball. haha. catcher maybe? ;)
