attaching a bragsheet/resume.

<p>I've heard of a lot of people attaching their bragsheet or resume to the "writing" portion of the Common App. What're your thoughts on this? If I did attach a bragsheet, should it be an abbreviated one from the one I gave to teachers for recs? It'd also be helped if some people could send me excerpts from their own resumes that they plan to send to colleges. Thanks for your help!</p>

<p>Oh I love resumes. I suggest attaching it and including stuff you may have done in middle school as well or even if you did Boy/Girl Scouts when you were really young. Resumes are an opportunity for schools to learn more background info about you than what was put on your applications. Plus a resume is like a self advertisement so you can really be as showy as you want to. It's all about making yourself look good. They should be no longer than one page though. And to hereicome09: you should attach your resume in the additional info part of the writing section. Here's some of what's on mine resume:</p>

<p>Other things I have on my resume are my significant community service exerperinces and my professional experinces including the internships that I have had. I highly recommend attaching one, it wouldn't hurt. :)</p>

<p>No need for a brag sheet but i'd attach a resume (I just did)
Make sure not just to list what you did because they can see that for the most part in the other section. Try to explain what it is that you do in that activity and your role in it.
For example its better to put:
Relay for Life, Vice President
-Last year, our team raised...
we work on monthly fund raisers....</p>

Relay for life, Vice president
National Honor Society. member</p>
