ATTENTION: Can you help me?

Hi, I'm an Asian male (Junior in High School) really considering applying to Northwestern for engineering. I don't know whether I should I apply ED or RD. Based on my stats, it would be really great if you guys gave me a percentage chance of getting in to Northwestern for Engineering. I know their engineering program is slightly easier to get into compared to the rest of their schools.

For the sake of argument, let's say that my letters of recommendation and essays are above - average, but nothing special.

Alright here goes :D.

Unweighted GPA. 3.6. Top 15% at a respectable NJ high school.

SAT - 2150, (M - 740 CR - 710 W - 700) 1450 Math and CR

Internships

Clubs

-Founder and President of the Science Club, just started this year, not many accomplisments yet

-FBLA - State and Regional competitor, really involved

-Junior Statesmen of America - Soph year - Secretary Junior year - VP. Prob will be prez next year

-School Newspaper - Editor in Chief

-Debate - first freshman to debate varsity in school history

Northwestern University LEGACY!

I think I will be getting a lot of financial, but NU is need based.

I'm taking a Math II soon, as well as an ACT. What else do you guys think I need to do to improve my chances both ED and RD.

Thank you guys so much.

NWU engineering: High match

Regular Decision or Early Decision. Anything I can do to improve? Thank you so much!!

ED is binding, but can improve your chances a good bit. If you truly love the school go for it, other wise you should apply RD. Take Math II, it will look good if you score well since you are applying for engineering…

@ArtsuGirl13 I really love everything about the school and from what I’ve heard about the campus, housing, etc. ; I’m 90% sure it’s where I want to be. But it’s a little to early to be 100% positive. So then, what do you think my chance are ED? I appreciate you taking the time.

any other inputs? Will chance back. :D

Early desicion is your best bet, you seem to have a high interest in going to this school and 90% is a very high satisfaction rating for your personal preference. Your SAT an GPA are great
being a legacy helps and your extra curriculars are great.
Chance me,
GPA: 3.72 W (4.6667 scale, 4.6667 being A+ and 4.3333 being A)
ACT:25
Strong extracurriculars considering I will apply to the business schools at the following:
Purdue
Penn state: university park (smeal)
Wisconsin- Madison
UCONN
James Madison
PITT

Just a quick suggestion, it sounds like you have not visited the campus yet. Visit before you apply ED, if you still love the school go for it!

NWU engineering is a high match if you apply ED…

Alright guys, Thanks so much!!! @DKushner10 Already chanced you on a previous thread…
