Chance Me, Northwestern ED

Hi, I'm an Asian male (Senior in High School) really considering applying to Northwestern for engineering.Going to apply ED. Based on my stats, it would be really great if you guys gave me a percentage chance of getting in to Northwestern for Engineering.

I think I'll have above average recommendation letters, hopefully solid essays. Additionally, I've met with the admissions officer reviewing my application multiple times and emailed with her a few times. I don't know if this is good or bad.

Unweighted GPA. 3.6. Borderline top 10% of my class at a respectable NJ public high school. Upwards trend of GPA

Thank you guys so much.

The last line in your profile is the key. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

How much do you think it will help? As a bump in the case of tie? Or will it make up in an area that I’m deficient in…

Definitely true for the former.

Can you bring up your SAT? Your SAT is a tiny bit on the low side for NU & your GPA as well, but the SAT you can change. I’m a current student at NU.

Your SATscore is a little low for NU but your CR score is nice.

Hope you can get NU offer!

UPDATE: Took the ACTs and got a 33… how much does this help me…

bump…

also when do you think we’ll find out, seeing that dec. 15 is a sunday…
the previous friday is Dec. 13th or Friday the 13th…
Could be an omen…

Dear god.Let’s not speak of omens, shall we? The gpa…Might be your weak point even if you go to a comparatively hard school. But there’s hope. For me, my gpa at my current school would touch the shores of a 4.0 if i went to the schools around me. My school report makes this clear. I don’t know how hard your school will look in its report but lets hope that it scales the weight up for you. Also rocking Act score. At least that’s what I think…
Hope to see you as a classmate, good luck!

The GPA is a little on the low side and so are the SAT scores but your extracurriculars are good. Especially since you’re going in ED that will increase your chances. Last year 43% of the NU freshman class was accepted through ED. It’s easier to get in ED than RD. I have a friend who didn’t have the best GPA but because she went to a small high school she was involved in EVERYTHING and she also applied ED so you should be fine.
