I really want to go to Cornell. Applying CAS ED... or u can suggest some other colleges for me.... thx

What's your field of interest? If you are interested in biology, definitely apply to CALS as a secondary.

With ED, I would say you have a 70% chance.

i don't have a definite major, i thinking economics and history.
I am worry about my two B's in precalc honors and algebra 2 honors, i think these grades will hurt me. but i have A's in AP stats and calc AB, don't think this would help anyway.

I think you are fine with your SAT Math scores.

For economics and history, I would choose ILR as your secondary college. Lots of overlap.

And actually, upon reconsideration, I mistook your Writing for a CR. A 650 CR for Arts is pretty borderline. It only puts you at the 25th percentile for enrolling students, and probably at the 15th percentile for accepted students. Still, this can be explained by your recent arrival in the States.

So maybe a 50% chance.

bump bump~~

Look, from the Asians who posted Stats last year, I can tell you that Cornell is the least "discriminatory" of all the Ivy League and plus some other private prestigious colleges against Asians in SAT scores. Most Asians who are accepted to schools like Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Yale, etc have astronomically high SAT scores. Cornell doesn't play that race game.

That's another reason I like Cornell. Its adherence to inclusiveness.

thank you guys

if I want to major in economics, what courses should I take in high school and do good in them? just curious

You mean "do well in them"? You speak English really goody. =.=

I am a person who focuses on the fundamentals, including English, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and the social sciences. Economics requires math, especially Calculus. However, there are parts of economics where natural sciences come into play. Therefore, I think it is essential to study all areas and excel in all of them.
