Did anyone NOT get an email today? My son hasn’t gotten one and he can’t access the future eagle portal (he forgot PW and the system won’t let him reset it- he keeps getting error messages about the reset link having expired).
Several colleges have them. I don’t know the logic - but maybe it’s to backfill kids that drop out after one semester. Let’s be honest here - colleges are a business.
Have him call the IT office and they can reset it over the phone.
Congrats to everyone on their acceptances! And TYSM for all of the input all along! My daughter was accepted as a Political Science major. Humbled by their generous fin aid pkg. She’s been bawling happy tears all evening, as she’s had her heart set on American since 8th grade.
has anyone seen honors decisions?
yes, my decision was on the acceptance letter
Are the merit scholarships listed in the acceptance letter? I got accepted but the letter did not contain anything about scholarships/grants. Pretty bummed out about that since I can not afford American without that type of aid
When did waitlist decisions for previous years start coming out?
Does anyone know what to write when it asks why you want to be on the waitlist?
Merit aid is in the admissions letter. Financial aid is in eagle service.
I went to the Eagle Service and it says both my financial awards and need-based aid are not ready to view. Does this mean there is a chance I will get any merit aid?
No. Merit aid is decided at admission. Need-based aid will come out later if that’s the message you’re getting.
I got in to PPL as a CLEG major with the Presidential Scholarship! At this juncture, it seems unlikely that I’ll be attending, but, if I do end up at American, I know I’ll be very happy in the program I was admitted to.
My son’s honors program acceptance was in his letter.
Not sure if this is true or not, but heard that students with little demonstrated interest and your stats are waitlisted under the assumption that American is your backup to Georgetown
accepted as an international studies major w the deans scholarship and an AU grant!! this letter is MUCH more appealing than gtown lmao
That is very true. That’s why demonstrated interest is so important to AU.
where are you getting the info that it’s a spring admission program? the letter makes it seem optional. it says 'if you were to choose…"
Again, I said historically it’s a spring admission program. It’s likely that they changed it due to the pandemic.
i don’t see a decision for the honors college anywhere, does that mean i was rejected from the honors college? i was admitted to au with the dean’s scholarship for context
