Auburn v. Stony Brook- What to do...

I am a current sophomore biology major at SUNY Stony Brook, and have just applied to several schools for transfer. I was accepted to Auburn but am not sure what to do. I know SBU has a great biology reputation, but am incredibly miserable at this school. I'm worried that I am doing myself a disservice by transferring out of SBU to Auburn. Does anybody have any recommendations for me? I also plan on attending grad school after I complete my undergrad.

Thanks

stony brook : a school i have heard of. A school other people have heard of.

Auburn: ? aside from the town in upstate New York, i have no educational associations with this word.

problem solved, stay at stony brook.

If are talking about Auburn in Alabama, it is a fairly well known school. You have heard of Stony Brook because you live in NYC. And, while many across the world know of Stony Brook, Auburn isn’t a no-name either.

Their athletic programs are excellent as well.

If you plan on living your life in a New York centered world like Malishka, stay at Stony Brook. If you want to get out of that cocoon, then transfer to Auburn, expecially since you are not happy at SB.

I am actually from California, so your arguments have no merits. and outside of that, i am not from America.

…

If your not happy, leave. Reputation isn’t as important as your ability to excel. However if your problems aren’t the schools fault, and your problem will follow you…then…
