Hi,
Is it unusual for students to audit classes in preparation for registration for the next semester? I realize it is a way early for this, but I'm just curious. I assume you would need permission from the instructor?
Thanks.

Any class you take you can take as an audit which means it does not show up on your transcript. Are you suggesting the idea of auditing a course just so when you take it the 2nd time around for a grad, it would be easier?

Generally no one wanting to graduate in 4 years or less and/or wanting to pay for the additional credits out of pocket would do this.

Sorry, I’m not being clear and might not be using the term “audit” properly.
What I am curious about is sitting in on a class in order to see if it is something you might want to take in later semesters. For example, if you have a choice of Social Science classes you need to take to satisfy general ed requirements and want to see which class interests you and which one does not.

Ah, yes for that you would need to get the approval of the Professor first. Better yet you should just ask to see the course syllabus and go browse the textbook in the bookstore to see if it covers material you’d be interested in.

Thank you for the help.
