Audit orgo

I'm planning to audit organic chemistry class in the summer before my sophomore year. I will be treated like other students--getting a textbook, doing labs, taking tests--but I won't get any academic credit. I think it will prepare me for orgo in my sophomore year, but I'm not sure if it is really a good idea. Your opinions?

Don't audit the class, sit in on it sure if you can, but don't audit it. It goes on your transcript. My two cents at least.

Geez. Organic chem is not that hard. There is no class you have to audit in order to perform well.

At least at some schools, you will not be permitted to take the class for credit after auditing it.

r u joking. organics isn't that hard, plus there's 1 question on organics on the chem ap test. it's almost not even worth learning in chemistry, let alone by itself.

Why did you feel it was necessary to bump a 2 year old thread?

Because you can.

This is coming from someone who only experienced orgo through AP chem and is probably still in high school. Having done AP chem myself, I can say that Orgo in AP Chem is very far from the actual college Orgo. AP Chem's Orgo is a complete joke.

r u illiterate.

Who? Me????

No, the person you were replying to.

Is luber43 honestly comparing high school chemistry to Organic chemistry in college?
