will that look bad if i audit physics class in a community college in the summer? and it will appear on my transcript. i mean, even if i officially do it well in my home school, will they still think it's not my true ability?
and what about if the course doesn't appear on my transcript, will admission still know? or do i need to tell them on my application?

--->I don't see why it would be a problem, you are not getting a grade for it. They only care about what grade you get in it when you take it.

--->I don't see the need to tell them, esp if its not on your transcript.

If it appears on ANY transcripts, ANYWHERE, then medical schools must be informed.

However -- you could always just go sit in on the lectures without official "auditor" status. I'm betting nobody would notice.

If it does appear, I think it might put you into a tough situation. Any A you get becomes, "Of course he got an A. He audited it previously." Anything else becomes "What? He audited it this summer and he still couldn't get an A?"

At my school, people don't audit classes they just walk in and sit down, if they really want to see how a class is. For schools that do have this auditing process, they actually put on you transcript that they audit even if you basically sitting down and not doing anything?

That's how we did it at my school. You could audit a class, not receive a grade, and it would show up on your transcript as an audit. You were thereafter banned from actually taking it.

Of course, nobody was bouncing the lectures. You could always just go sit in.

talk to the professor. im pretty sure the professor will enjoy your enthusiasm for learning physics (ie he/she'll let you just sit in unofficially)
