Would I get in trouble for sitting in during summer course lectures but not paying? The one I am interested in auditing is a 50+ lecture. TIA!

Try and find out. Probably not though.

I’m planning on doing that for one class.
I don’t see why you wouldn’t…the only reason people pay is to get credit for taking the class.

I went to a community college for my senior year of high school and I know professors there got upset when students thought they could just sit in on classes. You’re not just paying for the credit, you’re paying for the right to be there. Of course, ymmv, I’m sure it really depends on the professor and Cornell’s policies.

Can anyone that has taken classes on campus give some input? I don’t see how they could keep track of attendance is there are large lectures.

Well, just ask, Riceboy. I think that they probably won’t mind, especially if it’s a lecture-style class. Which class, btw? :)
