The audition dates for the Fall 2009 class are:

January 24, 25
January 31, February 1
February 21, 22

We will begin taking appointments for those dates on October 1, 2008. If you would like to make an appointment, please call (850) 644-7234. The schedule usually fills up quickly, so please call early!

Information about the BFA program and the audition requirements can be found on the web site below:

I also recommend that students download the Handbook (It’s a PDF on the same web page) in order to look at the full curriculum.

We are very excited to meet all of our prospective new students. As always, if you have any questions about the program or the audition process, please do not hesitate to e-mail or give me a call.

Best wishes to all of you on this journey!
Michele

Just a reminder-the lines are open for auditions and I am told they book up quickly. You check in at 8:30am- have a group morning and then individual 10 minute slots are all afternoon. I called at 8:30a and was the first one to call for Jan 25. Don't be discouraged by a busy signal.
Good luck...

All4FSU-Just wondering if FSU usually sends any kind of written confirmation after the appointments are made by phone. My D has an appt. for 1pm on Sunday Jan. 25 which was made as soon as the lines opened on October 1 but realized she doesn't have anything as a written confirmation. She hasn't sent in her questionnaire yet which apparently is due within two weeks of your audition. Should she call for a confirmation or assume everything is set? BTW, she said she enjoyed meeting you at FTC's and was thrilled to get a call back.

Pohsmom,
Barbara (my assistant) will send out confirmation letters about two weeks before the audition with specifics about where to go for check-in and confirming appointment times. We wait until then due to late cancellations and adding people off the waiting list. I will also send an e-mail out in early January as a reminder to turn in the audition materials and confirm that prospective students plan to attend their scheduled audition.

I'm not sure which student at FTC was your daughter, but I truly enjoy that conference. The students have a good time and they are usually less stressed then on the college audition circuit. Best wishes for your daughter and I'm looking forward to watching her audition in January.

Thanks All4FSU- my daughter received her letter over the weekend and has everything confirmed and ready to go. She also sent out her BFA Application with all of the requested documents. We are really looking forward to our weekend in Tallahassee on January 25.
