@sagehen47 Totally agree. No one’s answering the customer service lines today, either. Really poor customer service.
I wish I knew an admissions officer who could find his scores for him!!
@SRmom2019 Let’s sue. LOL
I took the math 2 in August and it still hasn’t been released yet. everytime i check it just says “your score is coming”. anyone else have this problem?
@cyanidism Yes, still waiting on my child’s score, also on Math 2. I called and was told that the score was ready to be posted, but the representative could not say when that would be, other than it could be up to 5 days from the original posting date. I spoke to her several hours ago, and still nothing’s been posted.
@sagehen47 Have you received your son’s score yet?
@SRmom2019 and @cyanidism. The short answer is “no,” no scores still. The long answer is that this morning when we checked, we saw the message “Your scores are coming.” That was new, as there had been no statement of any kind so far. I called and spoke to someone who couldn’t tell me anything other then that they are still posting scores, and it’s taking awhile because so many kids took it that day. I let him know that the website says the scores will be available on-line on Sept. 7 and therefore they are NOT keeping their promise. I complained that they should be notifying students why they are delayed and when to expect them. He then said he would pass my email address along to an “Escalation” manager and I can share my concerns with him and he can look further into my son’s scores. He said the escalation manager would contact me immediately. Great. When is immediately? “3 to 4 business days,” he said not realizing the ridiculous irony of his statement. A few hours later, we checked again. Now it says “Your score is pending. You should get your score within a week.” Unbelievable. So we keep waiting. There’s really nothing else we can do.
Do you really think the test date had a higher number of test takers than usual? I find that hard to believe because there were far fewer test centers available, at least in my neck of the woods.
I was also supposed to get my scores on Sept. 7. Whenever I open up collegeboard, it prompts me to “check on my scores” for the recent SAT. I click on it and it directs me my SAT dashboard, where it says “scores are pending”. Im getting more heated the more i think about collegeboard’s audacity to reuse open tests and not have any compensation. What separates the ones that have their scores published vs the ones that dont?
@wisteria100
That’s what I was told when I called. I do find it believable because seniors like my son see it as one last chance to improve their score before early decision applications are due.
@collegbordsuccs Let’s see what happens with the class action lawsuit and maybe we will all get some $$ back. I intend to ask for some free score reports to be sent for my son, assuming I do in fact hear from the “escalation manager.”
If they had a higher number of testers than usual, then I suspect the test centers that were open must have been very crowded. DD would have had to drive over an hour to get to an open center, because none of the local schools were offering it. Maybe it’s just a regional thing, since our schools weren’t back in session yet.
@CTScoutmom it might be regional. We’re in the north suburbs of Chicago. School was back in session on the test date.
@CTScoutmom: I registered my son more than six weeks before the SAT and could not find an open test Center in Fairfax County, VA or Arlington County, VA. He had to go to Prince William County, almost an hour away. FCPS garadutes about 15,000 kids a year (that’s 30,000 juniors and seniors). But not one of the 25 or so high schools had an opening. Only a very few were offering it. It seemed nuts to me given all the seniors trying to get scores for ED/ EA.
Edit: this was the Saturday before school started. Kids started the following Tuesday. But teachers were back, the buildings were open, sports and band were practicing etc.
Finally got my daughter’s score today!
@sagehen47 Have you gotten your son’s yet?
There were fewer test centers open because administrators in others did not choose to make their facilities available. Likely, as was suggested above, because many schools were still on summer break or had so recently started back. CB mentioned on Twitter that it was by the school’s choice that more weren’t available and they would like more open for the future.
@SRmom2019 Congrats! Glad your wait is over. Ours is not. So irritated. I contacted the test coordinator at the high school where he took it to see if she had any inside info.
She said she called and was told they are still scoring tests. Are you kidding me?? I know this is a good practice in patience, but those scores will help him finalize a college list and we need to decide where else he might need to visit with his day off from school next week. But hands tied. Just nothing we can do.
@sagehen47 How can they have released a curve if they haven’t completed scoring the tests? I suppose they can run statistical analysis on a sample, but that is surprising.
I was told that my daughter’s test score was ready to be posted yesterday morning, but it wasn’t posted until this afternoon.
@SRmom2019 that’s a good point, but maybe the test coordinator misunderstood or meant to say they are still posting scores, not scoring. But over on Twitter, I must have complained about not getting the scores and believe it or not I just got an email within Twitter from the SAT offering to look into it! Never expected that. That was 5 minutes ago,so let’s see if Mr. Twitter can find out anything for us.
@sagehen47 Fingers crossed!
