I had to change my AOP from July to the August date, and now I'm worried I won't get into any of the classes I need. Looking at the class list, everything appears to be full, even the large freshman-level classes. I'm pretty sure I'm automatically signed up for calculus, intro to engineering and computer science as a profession, but I really don't know and I'm worried about any other classes I'd need to take.

Are they usually able to squeeze in students who attended the August AOP?

I’m worried too as I have to switch my schedule due to a major change. After my ap test scores came back, I has passed out of all the university requirements. I got an email from them last week saying I needed to choose new classes. When I went online absolutely none of the classes I wanted were open. Now I’m taking higher level classes then I maybe should be in. It’s a mess. They had better add more spots because they’re charging us a whole lot to not even be able to take the classes we are attending msu to take.

Sign up for classes that sound sort of interesting or are at all possible to use for your major. Schedules change rapidly so check all the time for openings. You can also click to schedule the class and they will text you when the class opens up (there’s a way to do this on schedule.msu.edu)

Don’t worry too much I had my AOP in august too and I got in all of the classes I wanted. Your gen ed. requirements are super flexible, they will let you into all the essential intro classes for your major fine but make sure to have 2nd and 3rd choices about gen. ed courses (i.e. you may not get the professor or time slots you want)

Do not worry about it. If you NEED to take certain classes, they will give you an override and allow you into the sections that are marked as full. This only happens if there is no possible way your schedule will work out with the classes that you need to take, not if you just want Fridays off.
