Automatic merit scholarships?

My unweighted GPA is currently a tiny bit below 3.0 and my understanding is that to qualify for the automatic merit scholarships you need a 3.0 or above. So I was wondering when they take the GPA to consider you for the scholarship? I know that by the end of next year I will have it back above a 3.0 but I'm not sure that will be in time to qualify. Also will my weighted GPA count for anything that's well above a 3.0? Thanks

If I remember it has to be 3.0 by December before entering that August. At orientation last month, the admissions counselor said once my son got his final transcript after graduation, to call them if he had a 3.0 acum. He just missed, so we missed out on about 8K. He had great test scores, but not great GPA. Oh well live and learn!

For the automatic Academic Excellence awards, you can submit the transcript at the end of the fall semester of your senior year for reconsideration. If your GPA and test scores are at the required level, you can be awarded the AE scholarship or any other scholarships that require the 3.0 overall. Work hard to get that GPA to the 3.0 level so you don’t miss out!
