Any major applicants got decision?
Only general admission applicants got decision…
How could it be that late…

@seesee12 how do you know if you applied to a major. I’m not sure if I did general or applied to a major >.<

@seesee12 I know on my application it says that I requested the international studies (Asian studies) major. Does that mean I applied to a major?

@Aharris1105 I am not sure but i think if you didn’t check “apply major directly” than you are general admission.
But I don’t know I am not general admission.
In this thread, all people who got decision said they are not in major,
They are general admission.

@seesee12 I didnt realize I didn’t have to apply to a major… On my application I said linguistics but I do not have any prereqs for it. I was hoping that this meant that it is the path I am interested in. I asked some people and they said it is possible to still be accepted in to UW but not be accpeted in to their major. Is it still possible for me to get in to the school? Or if I am rejected from my major does that mean I wont be accepted at all?

@tversace I didn’t apply major also. I just checked that box. If I checked other box, than I have to apply major later by myself.
I don’t know about the next question.

My unofficial transcript uploaded and my application status changed! I’m so excited! Good luck everyone!

A little confused here. Just got an email to my UW email address about applying to the school of engineering. I do not have all the prereqs completed but indicated interest on my application. No student ID included in the email but it has the engineering department deadline.

Is this just a basic email sent to all those interested in engineering or could it be possibly pointing to the idea that I got in? (I’m thinking that since it seems silly to send it to somebody who wasn’t going to be admitted).
Thanks!

I’m so confused I wish I could go back and look what I selected on my application lol. Also how do I access my UW email? I can only see that I have my UW email forward itself to my personal email.

That’s where the email I mentioned showed up, and I think you can check it if you go back to ApplyWeb or whatever website it was submitted through.

This email has me more on edge and nervous than ever before…

actually, I got accepted into the major few months before i received the general admission.

Well I just checked and it’s going to be harder for me to get in because I don’t have 90 credits. So it is more competitive.

@JakeMadian I’m not seeing what you are talking about probably because I’m on a phone.

I have a question. You know on the application how they ask for your ethnicity? Well I’m part Native American and I was wondering why they ask for proof of that? I have my enrollment number for my tribe and I sent the information to the office of diversity like they asked but I’m curious as to why you guys may think they want proof for that specific ethnicity?

Any biology applicants got decision? Or other major?

@seesee12 I’m a biology applicant. I haven’t heard back yet.

@Aharris1105 I think they ask for proof because you may qualify for certain scholarships/financial aid depending on which tribe you belong to. Also, it’s a diversity thing- schools like to maintain a certain percentage of different ethnic groups.

Hey @seesee12 I applied for general admission but I put biology as my first choice major. I got in as a pre science major because UW want you to take classes there before applying to major. Idk if it’s true for other majors but it is for bio.

I wonder when is the final date they will release admission decisions for transfers. Does anybody know at this point?

@cheskaj im wondering if you can call and find it out?
