Available audition dates for 2014 admission

I scheduled a Purchase audition on the first day it was available and still have not received confirmation either. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

has anyone done any early decision auditions? And are you going to be hearing back mid-December?

I haven’t kept up with the thread, but want to cheer on anyone who is pacing back and forth this month!!

Break a leg to all those auditioning soon.

My D auditioned at U Arts on Nov 23. They have rolling admissions. She got a callback during the audition. They said we would hear in 2-3 weeks. We should know by Dec 15. It comes in the mail so now I am afraid of the mailbox…

If anyone does receive confirmation from purchase, please post that. Thanks.

I feel for you dramamom0804 - the waiting is horrible, and the timing is tough, since it may be the holidays for your family. Fingers crossed that she hears good news!

dramamom0804 – just an FYI – they promised 2-3 weeks last year and it was longer than that. I can’t quite remember how long it was but I was messaging with someone in MT who had that first November date (my daughter was the December date) and I remember it being more like 4 weeks or more. I guess my point is that I wouldn’t hold me breath too tighly on promised dates. Good luck!

Makes me glad is only going for a BA right now. hang in there parents and Break a leg to all

Go on ahead and just rub it in, ctl, just rub it in…LOL!

was not trying to rub it in  Nearly lost my mind with just the apps. just ask haflokum. Don’t think he is and obs. I’m not ready for unifieds yet :D. He still may do a couple of auditions but we can relax for now. Until the FAFSA :(

Or until the css profile :(

Yes, one plus of mine not applying to USC is no CSS, as least I think! Break a leg to everyone’s kids!!!

I did the CSS profile on one of the first days I broke my leg and I wasn’t supposed to move around much at all… So I figured let’s do something useful.
It took 3 hours. You must have your tax return. Many questions come right from the return. It wasn’t horrible. 'Course, that might have been compared to breaking my leg… And having no other options of fun things to do!

From other descriptions, it sounds like it’s not bad “when compared to a broken leg” is a good one :/

HA, dramamom! I am assuming that the CSS profile will have to be updated when the 2013 return is available. Is that actually the case?

BTW, how is your leg?

I think the CSS is done. I’m not planning to touch it again. Pretty sure it asked me to estimate for 2013? I’m no expert though; other parents who have done it more than once probably know better.
I’m at 4 weeks with the leg. I’ve graduated to a boot, which means I get to take it off to bathe but am still not supposed to bear weight yet. The boot is really ugly and looks like something a storm trooper would wear. :unamused: My cast was a lovely shade of purple and I painted my toe nails to match! D gave me some fun colorful socks to jazz up the boot though.
I will be back to 2 feet for D’s next audition on January 9!

LOL! Following what I call the ABC rule even in a cast AND a boot-Always Be Cute! Thanks for the info that you’ve given. I really need to get it done.

I completed the CSS for early decision, then revised it for the regular decision date. I’m self-employed and my income fluctuates, so my forecasts for the current year and the upcoming one were significantly off. If you get a paycheck, your estimate should be pretty close and you probably don’t need to do it again.

I have a BU audition at 2 pm on February 4th. Rutgers originally scheduled me for 12:40 but I felt like this would not give me enough time before BU so I asked for an earlier time. They are now giving me 11:10 am. I was planning on working in Purchase this morning as well, but am worried with an 11:10 Rutgers time I will not be able to. As I’m waiting for Purchase to contact me, should I move Rutgers to the 11:10 time or stick with the 12:40?

I’ve heard conflicting things about how long the Purchase audition actually takes, everything from an hour to all day. Can anyone provide clarity on this?

Purchase just called my D to ask her when she would like her audition time… so they are finally making those arrangements. :)

Purchase just called me too! If your phone rings and says “New York,” pick it up! (We never answer the home phone anymore. Glad I grabbed that one.)
