@payn4ward I have a friend who came in from the local Catholic school, and I remember her commenting, “All the teachers here are so young!”
Every September, the teachers are a year older . . . and the kids in front of them (generally) not. What other trade craft has the same model?
we are 41 and 42 and definitely felt like we were younger than most at the revisit day. But I look older than stated age so I fit right in.
I have a theory that older parents have seen more friends with kids frustrated with LPS and may have more money to afford BS.
My parents are 39 and 54. Huge age gap, isnt it?
Now that my mama is a BS parent, I can say that she was 39 when I came along.
It’s depressing that when we have to enter our age in a website, it takes a while to scroll down several pages to find our year of birth…
@GMTplus7, I was just having that problem the other day, and my 10 year old son – who was hanging over my shoulder watching what I was doing – commented “jeez, you’re old!” Thanks so much for pointing that out, kid.
I’ve gotten older since this thread started.
Happy Birthday ChoatieMom!
if that was what you meant
My hubby had recent birthday and there was not enough room for the candles on the cake.
Onward, we will just get one large candle and be done.
I wonder if they have Roman numeral candles, hmm.
I’ve gotten older since this thread started, too. And I like the Roman numeral candles idea. XLIII doesn’t quite look so bad.
No BD, just the inexorable march of time.
@payn4ward I like your idea of roman numeral candles so much, I googled it and it does exist! I’m going to get some.

@doschios Thanks! XLVIII is still a lot of candles on the cake, so I’ll wait till XLIX to get them.
L, LI, LII, LX doesn’t look that bad. :))

Alas, they don’t make C!
Otherwise we could get to use XC, C, and CX, CXX! b-(
Now, changing mind to get them to use for my DS1’s XVI !!
