My question is about what the definition is for the average incoming GPA for Freshman into undergraduate schools. Are the GPA's listed the GPA's at the time that the student's applied, or are they the GPA of the student when they graduated from high school?

Thank yoU!

I imagine that the school reports the GPA of the final transcript…but I don’t know for sure.

Generally, I’m guessing the schools report the application GPA. Not all schools report a final GPA–and if they did, it would probably be less than the GPA of those accepted. Schools obviously want to report the highest GPA possible–meaning they would the application GPA.

Yeah I agree I think it’s the GPA at the time of application.

Though, this is an interesting question. I hadn’t considered this before.

(My final GPA is likely to be higher than application GPA, unfortunately :P… Just saying.)
