My school UW average is a 81 and my W average is a 85. How will this effect my college acceptance? What kind of colleges will accept this average?

I don't want to go a Ivy like most people on this forum but like a four year private college like Hofstra or St. Johns.

UW - unweighted average W- weighted average

weighted / unweighted

Isn't it kind of normal that most schools don't have mostly "A" students?
What's your rank? Grades of the top 10% at your school?
SAT?
You should be able to explain to colleges that your school is competitive.

It really depends on what school-are you ranked last in an innercity school or at a highly competitive prep? I've seen people get into Hofstra with 81's from average schools, if that helps.

I don't know my rank but there are like 800/900 Juniors at my school. I'm in a very big school >.<

Thanks alot!

I didn't take the SATs yet ;p Would a good SAT score make up for it?

PSAT?
Grades of the top kids in your school?

PSAT is horrific!

Top grades are like 99, 98, 97, 95, etc...

Yeah I'm pretty low.

I think my class rank would put me in the 300-400 range perhaps??
