Avoiding Mistakes in Math?

Does anyone have any Tips on how to attack the Math section effectively?

No matter what I do I cannot seem to stop making stupid mistakes that cost me ~60 points.
Currently stuck in the high 600's/low 700's.

Is there any guide/tip you can give me that helped improve your score and truncate the number of silly mistakes you made?

Thanks.

High 600s/Low 700s is nothing to sneeze about. Very respectable, only about 6-8 questions. Why so worried? There are more interesting things that you could spend time doing, aren’t there?

OP might be applying to prestigious math/engineering universities, in which a 700 math score is a bit weak.
