Awards and ECs

I am currently in a couple of clubs(NHS,CSF,Key,Fuhpa)maybe some more. ive had a position only in one club. I have been in track/crosscountry for the past 2 years and will continue it until senior year(making it 4 years). I will be doing orchestra 4 years. Can I have some reccomendations on EC's? btw i wanna make it to a top school.

There are lots of threads about this that you can search. The common advice: do EC's in your area of special interest rather than worry about what EC"s would interest a college, show committment and leadership where you can (sounds like you are on your wayin track and orchestra). Colleges are not interested in your belonging to a long list of EC's or in your participation in things you don't care about.

ok thanks Caleno. I'm very worried that I don't have enough because many people have like super long lists of their awards.

i was wondering if its possible to get into a top school without EC's...

im not plannin to go to a top school...just wanted to know

I dunno... lol.

^ Yeah, the thread Posuer gave is best.

Your list isn't bad, it's just not particularly interesting. I assume you'll be a junior? Use this year to pursue awards in a particular area of interest. Are you a writer? Go on a contest frenzy. Do you like science? Participate in a local science fair or olympiad. Etc.
