could you answer me a question which bothers me for a long long time?

im currently a junior.and i want to go to ivies.

i did not really do so much ECs in my freshman and sophomore year. i only joined like two or three clubs and participated in my school orchestra. and received an award (but this is not a personal award, this is for the whole orchestra, DOES THAT COUNT AS AN AWARD?)

this year,i still stayed in the same club and the same orchestra, and i do participate some clubs that are OUTSIDE the school. also, I MAY become an officer (which means leadership) in my club.

do you think my ECs are extremely weak?

(assuming that my scores are OKAY)

I think Colleges look more heavily on Junior and Senior years. It won't be a perfect application but try to join as many as you can this year.

You only need one or two activities that you are really serious about. It can be just one if you are hugely serious about it - this is often referred to as having a "passion".

my two activities that im really serious about is astronomy and music.
is that good?

It is that issue of passion versus a hundred EC's.
