<p>I personally received about the same package with the same amount of loans and almost chucked it out the window in horror. No way can we commit to 100+ in loans. I can barely even look at the letter, that number gives me shivers. Which isn’t to say NYU was not generous, especially considering their reputation and size… </p>

<p>So I ended up appealing and received an additional 2500 scholarship which isnt much but is something.</p>
<p>my efc was 0, and I got about 11k in loans per year. The only reason I am taking it is cause I am going to be in Stern. Also, if worse comes to worse, I might go ahead and try to transfer to Cornell’s Applied Economics and Management department, and I would not pay a dime. But then I wouldn’t be able to intern at great companies as well. I guess it depends on the field said person is trying to go into. Your in CAS, so if you try to go the medicine route, its going to be a hell of a lot of money, but if you can get private scholarships or land a good job in the city while at nyu, this is certainly managable.</p>
