awkwardness

Even though this doesn't solve my problem, and is essentially pointless whining, I thought I'd start a thread about it. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but here is a conversation between me (straight A student) and one of my best friends (valedictorian, might be a certified genius.. okay exaggeration, but close to it..):

Me: So, I went and looked at colleges on the east coast last week
Genius: Really? I went a few weeks ago
Me: What did you think?
Genius: Hated X college and X college!!! Didn't their curriculum seem horrible?!
Me: Those are my top two colleges actually...
Genius: Oh..

BAH! And the bad thing is that I value her opinion. Not on this though, I will decide my colleges for myself, thanks.

uh, yeah it is pointless whining...

Well that is definately awkward, but I wouldn't sweat it. If everyone had the same preferences for college, there would only be one!

It doesn't seem to be that awkward for you, only for genius best friend. That happened to me, though. I was telling this girl about my first choice school and she said "Oh I hated it so much." I think she hated it for all the reasons I liked it.
