AXA Achievement Community Scholarship

Anybody apply for the AXA Community Scholarship? I'm not sure what achievement I can write about for this one. Can I write about volunteering as a small group leader at my church, a one-day missions trip down to Chicago (handing out Subway sandwiches to the homeless), or working as a TA for StarTalk (government-funded Chinese program aimed to teach kids Chinese from grades 1-12)? If so, which one should I use? The deadline is February 1 I believe.

“Primary consideration will be given to the applicant’s non-academic outstanding achievement as described in the online application essays when selecting finalists. The achievement may be a long-term achievement, an activity or a project that occurred in their school, in the community or in the workplace.”

Found out yesterday that I am a finalist. Now I have to submit transcript and letter of verification for my outstanding achievement. Anyone else a finalist? Any idea how many are finalists?

I was a finalist too!! I have no idea how many finalist they pick and how many they pick out of those people but glad to have made it this far.

Finalist as well. No idea about the numbers.

If you look on their website for last year finalists I think this info is listed. I think there are so many per state based on the number of offices they have in that state.

They only listed the students who actually won. I was selected as a finalist, but I have to submit more documentation and a transcript to determine whether I am a recipient.

My DD won the AXA Achievement Scholarship for Virginia for $10,000. The letter came in today’s (3/8/2014) mail.

I’m a finalist too from Michigan. No letter yet!

Anyone else get a letter???

I am finalist for AXA Community Achievement scholarship. No letter. Anyone else?

Last paperwork I received said that notification would be sent in early April. Guess we have a few more weeks!

2014 winners have been announced on their website. I WON!!!

@mich5225 I know this is from a long time ago but I applied for the 2015 AXA Achievement Scholarship and I am wondering if all those who applied will receive a letter regardless? (It’s a letter right, not email?) also, when they should be getting them? THANK YOU
