Thanks for the info. I was wondering if they notify both the winners and the non-winners.

does the 12,000 cap (or whatever it is) fill up quickly? does anyone know?

Assuming that there are 20,000 high schools in the nation and that i was the only one from my very large public school to apply, I think it would be pretty slow to fill up. Of course, if we consider the fact that they even have such a limit indicates that in previous years the amount of applications they received exceeded this amount and thus they put this limit in place. Of course, this is all conjecture so I cannot give any sort of conclusion as to the veracity of my answer or give a statement that can accurately respond to your inquiry.

Son sent in his today so we will see. Maybe it hasn’t filled up. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!!

Has anyone heard anything from AXA? Do they choose the National winners at the same time they send you your state winner award letter? I am talking about the AXA Achievement (10K) 52 winners.

i was selected as a $10,000 axa winner! i am so thankful to axa! i wonder who else was selected :)

Purplerocks, congrat. We didn’t get any mail from AXA, so I guess our daughter didn’t get anything. But I think it was a good experience for her. I wonder if AXA is going to notify the non-winners

Purplerocks, congratulations! That is awesome!!

Which state are you in Purplerocks? Do you know if the National Winners have already been selected, or how that happens?

thanks everyone! i am from ohio and i am not sure if national winners were selected yet… good luck to everyone! i am not sure if they notified all the state winners yet so you might have a chance… and there still is the community scholarships

congrats purplerocks!!! was the notification by mail or e-mail?

Purplerocks: if you don’t mind sharing, what was your big achievement?

Unfortunately, I do know that those who were one of the first 15,000 applications for the AXA Achievement Scholarship and did not win are notified. My DD got her letter yesterday.

another rejection… LOL right when i read the “Thank you…”, i was like, DANG IT! but i’m happy i at least tried. the rate of winners is just a bit over 4%. so congratulations to the winners!

Rejected :(, I’m 0 for 4 now between rejected from being a coke finalist, best buy, Sam Walton and this. Swear its discrimination lol.

discrimination? ;O
for moving onto any next level, i’m 3 to 30… i’m grateful for any action though.
think about it, if there were a bit <15,000 applicants, and only 52ish winners… that is a smalllll percentage. so, at least ya tried! i was reading some winners’ achievements, and they are AMAZING people. much more qualified than me… i admit, i was a little bummed, but there must have been seriously miraculous achievements out there. the winners definitely deserve it. still, you are just as amazing - even if you didn’t get this, there are so many opportunities along the way. look, you did move on for coca cola!!! that is a huge achievement. you have some crazy ECs, amigo. i got rejected for coca cola from the start and i was hella bummed too… but knowing people like you out there who worked your butts off helping the community… i mean, that’s is some pretty legit hope for our future. chin up, head up, fists down, shake it off. don’t let this disillusion you. good luck.

Has anyone heard more about the 2011 AXA Community Scholarship?

last yr my son got a letter on april 23 telling him he got the community scholarship.

daughter received a letter in the mail yesterday saying that she won one of the community scholarships
