Hey,

I am hoping to have a career in marketing and was wondering which undergraduate program would best prepare me for this line of work. At Adelphi University, where I am looking at, the two programs I have mentioned are both listed. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Key for marketing degree is to develop some depth in an affiliated area…if you are math savvy - focus on analytics and research. If you are more interested in promotion - focus on really good writing and electives in advertising. If interested in public service - consider marketing for non-profit organizations. Make sure that your degree choice allows you to build expertise in these affiliated areas through dual major/electives/internships. Use the environment of a liberal arts school wisely. Generic business degrees in any discipline are just that – “generic” and non-competitive in the job market. The letters around the degree don’t matter, but deep and unique “context” expertise can take you far.
